Are you from Maine originally? If not, where are you from?

I was raised just outside of Philadelphia and made a solo move to Tel Aviv when I was 17, where I lived for seven years. I moved to New England at age 25.

How did you become a musician? What inspired you?

I've been singing ever since before I could form sentences and took piano lessons as a child. I taught myself guitar in my early twenties because I needed a convenient instrument to accompany my songwriting.

It was my first heartbreak that inspired me to fully dedicate myself to writing music. I was compelled to transpose pain into something beautiful, and this eventually became my form of true inspiration: alchemization.

Tell me more about Keep Me Hangin' On and the messaging behind it.

Keep Me Hangin' On was written in my grandmother's apartment in Israel last October, where I was staying to finally relax after non-stop working and traveling. I had just finished directing/producing the Day to Night music video as well as recording at Faust Studios in Prague. I was completely drained of energy. I lost my voice, I got sick, and I was beginning to lose hope. This song channeled out of me in the wee morning hours, under a full moon. It felt like a mantra during a lower moment of my life, searching for the strength to keep believing.

The song eventually developed into a motivational anthem, as you hear in the uplifting children's choir during the song's outro. We compiled the voices of different children singing from quarantine and layered them as if they were singing together in unison, as a symbol of hope for our future.

The overall theme of Keep Me Hangin' On is about the inspiration that comes with perseverance. It's a prayer for strength, an ode to believing (which seems to be one of the most difficult things to do sometimes), and a reminder that we all need each other to keep on going strong.

Do you plan to launch new music?

I will be releasing my first EP this year titled Giving All to You, mastered by Adam Ayan of Gateway Mastering Studios. The mini-album includes four original songs, only two of which I have released on streaming platforms. Inspired by Motown and 90s R&B, these songs are soulful and all about discovering self-love.

I am currently working on my next albums - a blend of soul and reggae. It's a surprise and I'm so excited to share these new tunes. They're more reflective of the times.

Do you plan to perform live or virtually anywhere in the near future?

I just recently performed live at Levitate in MA, and it was invigorating. There's nothing like a live audience. Though due to the current restrictions it seems many shows are postponed, so I am offering live performances for private house concerts and small events. For booking please contact natalebooking@gmail.com.

On occasion, I will be sharing live video performances on my social media platforms: Instagram and Youtube.
