Makers of Maine wants to give you an experience at Glidden Point Oyster Farms. From the ins and outs of managing oyster farms, learning about the different types of oysters grown along the river, to learning how to shuck an oyster there is a lot to cover and Ryan and his team can tell you all about it.
Two tours will be organized on October 18th, 2 pm and 3 pm. The max capacity for each tour is ten people. First come, first serve!
Ryan will be taking you around the property and showing you what being an oyster farmer is all about. He will even show you the culling station where they size up the oysters. Then to close out the tour Ryan's team will teach the group how to shuck!
High Roller Lobster will also be there with their delicious lobster cuisine.
$39 per ticket which includes the tour and a dozen oysters you can take home or enjoy at the farm.
