Are you from Maine originally?

I grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. My mom is from Maine so we came up to visit my grandparents often. I moved to Maine to come to college in 2002 and it's been my home base since.

How did you become a musician? What inspired you?

I come from a musical family and I've always loved to sing. I watched my older siblings play instruments and wanted to play too. I took piano lessons, learned how to play the guitar, and eventually started writing songs. That, plus all of the music I've ever heard, inspired me to be a musician :)

Tell me more about Eternal Light and the messaging behind it.

I've been up to Alaska a few times at different times of year, but the first time I went was around the summer solstice. Eternal Light is inspired by my experience of the midnight sun, the art and stories of Alaskan natives, and the amazing wildlife of Alaska.

Do you plan to launch new music?

Yes, I have been working on a new album and I plan to release it in 2021.

Do you plan to perform live or virtually anywhere in the near future?

I'm performing Thursday, Sept. 17th at Cadenza in Freeport, on Friday, Sept 18th at The Camden Opera House to benefit New Hope for Women and on Sunday, Sept 20th at the Backyard Acoustic Music Series in Farmington. I'll also be at the virtual Common Ground Fair this year.
